Cancellation policy

This policy applies to services sold by MACHINES - WORDS (Pty) Ltd, trading as Machines + Words, registration number 2026/713540/07.

How to cancel

• Email hello@machines-words.com with your name and the service you want to cancel, or cancel in your Whop account.
• The cancellation counts from the day I receive your email, or the day you cancel in Whop.
• I confirm the cancellation, and any refund due, in writing within 2 working days.

The monthly (US$1,000 a month), for the Founding Client and the Booked-Call Machine

• Stop any month. There is no minimum term.
• The monthly ends at the end of the month you have already paid for, and nothing more is charged.
• The weekly numbers check, the monthly test, the 4 door blocks and the monthly review continue until that date.
• Everything built stays yours, in your own tools.
• Stopping the monthly does not change the 60-day promise on the setup fee (see the refund policy). Monthly fees already paid are not refunded.

The free quiz emails and the Thursday letter

Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email me and I remove you. The Thursday letter is on Substack, so you can unsubscribe there too.

If I cancel

If I cannot continue a service for a reason that is not your fault, I cancel it and refund the money you paid for the work I have not delivered.

Services bought before 17 October 2026

These keep the terms that applied on the day they were confirmed in writing.

Your rights under South African law

Nothing in this policy removes your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
